Desde siempre me he dedicado a la pintura figurativa, plasmando la realidad hasta el último detalle, utilizando grafite, acuarelas, pastel y oleo. Dentro de lo creativo que uno puede ser con la pintura figurativa, he intentado personalizar mis obras mezclando técnicas y materiales, con el fin de crear mi propio estilo. Puedo decir que con la pintura figurativa, me he emocionado cuando he visto que he superado el reto. A veces pintando algún sujeto me he sentido que me estaba superando, pero he seguido pincelada a pincelada, con paciencia, perseverancia y tiempo, y he ganado. Busco, lo que considero sujetos dificiles de plasmar. Es una lucha continua y alguien tiene que ganar, el sujeto o yo. Since I can remember, I have always dedicated my time to Figurative Art, capturing reality to the last detail, whether using grafite, water colours, pastel or oil paints. Within the possibilities where one can be creative with Figurative Art, I have tried to personalise my art work mixing tecniques and materials, with the idea of creating my own style. I would like to say that figurative art, moves me when I am able to supersede the challenge. Sometimes, painting a subject, I have felt that it was too much for me, but with each brushstroke, patience, perserverance and time, I have come out winning. I try to look for challenging subjects. It is a continuous struggle and there is always a winner, either the subject or me.
En general, cuando uno va a un museo de arte contemporaneo, moderno, abstracto alguna vez hemos oido los siguientes comentarios o similares; ''Parece la pintura de un niño'' o ''Mi nieto de 5 años puede hacer eso'', etc... Hay que mencionar que los mejores interpretes de estos estilos de pinturas son los niños porque no tienen perjuicios sociales y sienten lo que ven, sin analizar. Al día de hoy, cuando pinto un abstracto le pregunto a los niños que opinan. Son los mejores jueces por su imparcialidad. Ven con su corazones. Si no sienten nada por la obra, la cubro con guesso y pinto otra cosa encima. Lo peor que le puede pasar a un pintor es que su obra no saque algún sentimiento del observador. In general, when one goes to a contemporary art, modern or abstract art museum, we have heard on occasions the following or similar comments : ''It looks like the painting of a child'' or ''My 5 year old grandchild can paint that''. I would like to mention that the best interpreters of these types of art styles are children, because they are not socially prejudiced and feel what they see without analysing. Up till now, when I paint an abstract, I ask children their opinion. They are the best judges due to there impartiality. They see through their hearts. If they don´t feel anything for the art work, than I cover it with guesso and paint something new on top. The worst thing that can happen to an artist is that the observer does not feel anything for his artwork.
He descubierto que no es nada facil pintar abstracto. Es plasmar en un lienzo vacio la interpretacion de tu sentimiento con ayuda de la traición de la subconciencia, siempre pensando que colores vas a utilizar, que materiales vas a aplicar y que movimientos corporales vas a llevar a cabo para realizar la obra. Me he dado cuenta que cada trazo tiene una razón de ser y un significado y que la obra se debe realizar en una sentada ya que ese sentimiento puede evolucionar en cualquier dirección y la obra puede cambiar de sentido, creando un verdadero caos. I have discovered that it is not easy to paint abstract. To express on an empty canvas the interpretation of one´s sentiments aided by the betrayal of one´s subconcious, always keeping in mind the colours to be used, materials to be applied and corporal movements that have to be carried out to make the painting a reality. I have realised that there is a reason for each stroke and a meaning to it. The art work has to be painted in one sitting because sentiments can evolve leading to others and it could change the direction of the artwork, creating caos.

Esta obra se titula - Andando al Futuro. Salimos de la nada y aunque vivimos al día, estamos en continua evolución hacia un futuro desconocido. Según vas llegando al final, aparece la ''luz-i-dez'' y empezamos a entender el porque de nuestra existencia. Nuestro ''YO''
I call this art work - Walking to the Future. We begin from nothing and although we live on a day to day basis, we are continuously evolving towards an unknown future. As we come to the end, it becomes clearer and we start to understand the reason of our existence. Our ''ME''
Esta obra se llama : El Ciclo de la Vida en Vortex. A veces me siento que estoy viviendo en un ciclo que me absorbe y que no tiene ni principio ni fin. Me consume sin poder hacer nada para salir. Lo unico que puedo hacer es seguir andando hacia el futuro aunque no lo vea claridad.
This art work is called : Life´s Cycle in Vortex. Sometimes I feel I am living a cycle that is absorbing me and that it has no beginning nor ending. It consumes me and I can´t do anything to leave it. The only thing I can do is continue to walk towards the future although it is not clear where it leads to.
Se llama : Islas en un Oceano Feroz. Somos pequeñas islas contra la vida. Las olas y viento nos abaten e intentan de cambiarnos y pulirnos a su manera. A veces lo consiguen y otras veces no.
Its called : Islands in a Ferocious Ocean. We are small islands against life. The waves and wind sweep down on us, trying to change and polish us to their ways. Sometimes they suceed and other times they don´t.
Esta se llama : Esclavitud. Desde que nacemos y hasta que morimos nos hacemos esclavos de nuestras vidas. Nuestras prioridades, responsabilidades y obligaciones nos enredan de tal manera que no nos podemos escapar.
This is called : Slavery. From when we are born and until we die we are slaves to our lives. Our priorities, responsabilities and obligations tangle us in such a way that there is no escape.
Estres es el nombre de esta obra. Todo el dia corriendo, mirando al reloj porque no hay tiempo para hacerlo todo. La vida se escapa y el reloj no se detiene. Tic Toc, Tic, Toc. Queda poco y mucho por hacer. Corre, corre, corre....
Stress is the name of this art work. All day running around, looking at the watch, because there isn´t enough time to do everything. Tic, Toc, Tic, Toc. Life is escaping us and the watch won´t stop. There´s little time and lots to do. Run, run, run.....
Su titulo es : Polución. La polución se define como : Contaminación intensa, y en sentido moral, profanacion y corrupción. Vivimos una evolución descontrolada, sin saber como parar. Nos autodestruiremos?
Its title is : Pollution. The definition of polution is intense contamination and in the moral sense, desecration and corruption. We are living an uncontrolled evolution and we don´t know how to stop. Are we on the course of self distruction?
Y por último : Enlaces Familiares. Nacemos, nos reproducimos y morimos. Es esta la razón de nuestra existencia? Demasiado sencillo, no?
This last one : Family Ties. We are born, we procreate and we die. Is this the reason of our existence? It´s too simple, no?
No lo sé, pero mi deseo con todo esto es transmitir lo que he podido aprender por experiencia lo que puede significar el abstracto para un artista. I don´t know , but my intentions with all this is to transmit what I have learnt by personal experience of what an abstract artwork can mean to an artist.
